EVENT CONCLUDED
While you’re in the square, why not visit the National Gallery and see how paintings reflect the essence of Diwali. Tours take place 2pm to 2:45pm and 3pm to 3:45pm.
To coincide with Diwali on Trafalgar Square celebrations, the National Gallery invites you to join Ranu Mehta Radia and Fiona Alderton for a talk and tour exploring the story of Rama and Sita through three paintings: Sir Henry Raeburn's 'The Archers'; Titian's 'The Death of Actaeon'; and Damiano Mazza's 'The Abduction of Ganymede'.
There will be two tours, the first starting at 2pm and the second at 3pm. Places are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please collect a sticker from the reception desk in the Sainsbury Wing. Tours will depart from the Sainsbury Wing Foyer.
A Gallery entry ticket will be required to enter the building. Save time on arrival by booking in advance. Walk-up tickets are also available, but please be aware that you may need to wait if it is busy, and may miss the tour.
