Aditi Mittal- Host

 

Aditi Mittal is an Indian stand-up comedian, actress and writer. One of the first women to do stand-up comedy in India, Aditi has been rated amongst India’s top 10 stand-up comedians by The Times of India. Mittal has been a part of the BBC's prestigious 100 Women, featured on BBC World and BBC America among “India’s trailblazers.”

Mittal created and starred in the BBC Radio 4 series, A Beginner’s Guide to India and has appeared on BBC 1, BBC3, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 4. Mittal wrote and performed her first stand-up comedy special "Things They Wouldn't Let Me Say" which was released on Netflix in July 2017.

 

Anuvab Pal:

Anuvab Pal has played to sold out houses across the world in India, the Middle East, Singapore, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Texas, Boston and New York. He is a regular at The Comedy Store Mumbai and London and has been dubbed “India’s Most Intelligent Comedian” by the New York Times, and India’s answer to British wit by the BBC. Anuvab is a correspondent on Andy Zaltzman’s satirical podcast The Bugle, he’s also co-creating a Radio 4 series with Andy Zaltzman called Empire which talks about the legacy of British colonialism from competing English and Indian perspectives.

 

Nish Kumar:

Nish Kumar is two-time nominee for Best Show at Edinburgh Festival Fringe and host of the topical comedy series ‘Mash Report’ (BBC2) and co-star of the brand new ‘Joel & Nish VS the World’ (Comedy Central) . No stranger to the TV screen, Nish has appeared on the following shows: BBC One’s ‘Have I Got News For You’, Q.I., Mock The Week & Live At The Apollo (all BBC Two), The John Bishop Show (BBC One), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), Nish Kumar at Soho Theatre Live (Comedy Central), Russell Howard’s Stand-Up for Central, Drunk History (Comedy Central), and Alan Davies As Yet Untitled (Dave).

 

Kai Samra:

Kai Samra has quickly risen to become one of the most exciting acts on the circuit today. Combining an edgy stage presence and a confident delivery, Kai tackles issues in modern culture from an intelligent and fresh perspective.

 

Within his first nine months he won the Up the Creek Blackout Competition three times, was a Finalist in the Bath Comedy Festival New Act Competition and a Semi Finalist in the Amused Moose Laugh Off 2017. He has recently opened for Paul Chowdhry at Watford Colosseum Arena in front of 2000 people, performed a sold out showcase at Soho Theatre as part of the Soho Young Company, gigged professionally with people like Sara Pascoe, Nish Kumar, Dane Baptiste and now gigs regularly at Top Secret Comedy, Up the Creek and Angel Comedy club.

 

A unique voice in the comedy industry, he is unafraid to tackle lazy stereotypes perpetuated by comedy. This has led him to be interviewed live in studio at the BBC Asian Network and also to be featured on BBC Radio 4.
